Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Account settings. When you do, we permanently remove your published story, your comments, your reactions, your drafts, and any reports you've filed. Your name and profile picture are erased from our records.

We retain a minimal record of your email address so that if you ever sign in again with the same account, we can welcome you back as a reader — you'll be able to comment on stories, but you won't be able to publish a new story. This is to preserve the "one story per person" integrity of the site. If you want full erasure (including this minimal record), email us and we'll honour it.
